Meet your guide opposite Miramare Bay hotel in Pigadia at 7.50 am.
Following the goat-paths and olive fields, you will walk pass abandoned houses reminding you of a different era. You will be surrounded by herbs and perfumes which differ depending on the season. The olive trees are offering some shade to take a sip of water and the sound of the goat-bells leads the way.
You will reach a chapel below Menetes, where you will take a break in the shade and enjoy a fresh cup of locally made herbal tea. Entering the chapel, you will get a glimpse of a Greek orthodox temple. Leaving the chapel, you will head into the river bed, which is sometimes slightly wet.
Hundreds of years old olive trees and fossilized shells await you at the end of the walk.
In the end of the valley walk, you will find yourself back in Pigadia, around 11:30am. This walk takes about 3-4 hours at a leisurely pace. If you have no experience with walking or hiking, the valley walk is the perfect walk to start with.
