With complimentary round-trip transfers included from selected accommodations in Pigadia and Ammoopi, all you need to do is relax and enjoy an unforgettable day at sea.
After being conveniently picked up near your accommodation, you’ll be transferred to Pigadia Harbor to board your excursion boat and set sail along Karpathos’ spectacular eastern coastline. Throughout the day, you’ll cruise past dramatic cliffs and hidden coves while visiting some of the island’s most treasured swimming spots.
The standard itinerary includes swimming stops at the turquoise waters of Hai Beach, the world-famous Apella Beach, the secluded shores of Agios Ioannis, and the picturesque Sea Cave near the Power Station (DEI) on the return journey toward Pigadia. If sea conditions do not allow a safe stop at the cave, the captain may instead choose to stop at Achata Beach.
Famed for their crystal-clear waters, striking rock formations, and untouched natural beauty, many of these idyllic locations remain inaccessible by road, making this cruise one of the best ways to experience the wild side of Karpathos. Guests staying outside the areas of Pigadia and Ammoopi should make their own arrangements to reach Pigadia Harbor prior to boarding. Please ensure you are at your designated pickup point at least 5 minutes before the scheduled pickup time. Pickup times may vary slightly depending on traffic and the number of guests being collected. Guests staying in the Pigadia or Ammoopi areas are welcome to make their own way to the departure point if they prefer not to use the included transfer service. In this case, they must meet the group at Pigadia Harbor no later than 09:15 AM for check-in and boarding. The boat departs promptly at 09:30 AM, and late arrivals may not be accommodated.
Arrive at the port early to check in, meet the crew, and board the boat. Please have your confirmation email on your phone or a printed copy along with a valid photo identification for each participant on your order for verification.
Set sail along the rugged eastern coastline of Karpathos, taking in the dramatic scenery as your beach adventure begins.
Your first swim stop is at this secluded and wild beach—accessible only by sea, Hai Beach. Famous among climbers for its towering cliffs, it’s also a peaceful place for a refreshing morning dip.
On some occasions the boat is not able to approach this beach due to weather conditions. In such cases the boat approaches the beach of Agios Ioannis close by, which offers more favorable conditions for everyone's safety during windy days.
The boat anchors at Apella, often named one of the best beaches in Greece. Spend several hours swimming, snorkeling, relaxing on the white-pebble shore, or simply taking in the postcard-perfect views.
This is an ideal time to enjoy a picnic-style lunch you brought along while soaking in the sun at Apella.
Reboard the boat and continue your journey northwards to the remote beach of Agios Ioannis.
Embark the boat for the return trip back to Pigadia, but this does not mean the fun is over, we're only half way through at this point! We slow start heading south towards Pigadia with close passes by the beaches of Kyra Panagia and Katto Lakko. Sometimes, weather and time permitting the captain will anchor at Kato Lakko for a short visit.
It's time to ready your camera's for the glory of Achata Beach. The captain will slow the boat down as we sail past the famous beach of Achata to allow for amazing close-up photos of the beach and the surrounding area. If the winds are favorable and if time permits, the captain will also make a short stop here for a quick swim.
The final close visit and possible stop weather and time permitting is Vrondi Cave, a popular cave to swim in and explore in the northern edge of Pigadia Bay. The captain will slow the boat down to allow for close up pictures and video and if the weather and schedule allow for it, a short stop for a quick swim will sometimes be made here.

The boat used for this tour is Kapetan Nikolis. It has the capacity to carry over 100 passengers and is used for excursions to the remote beaches of Karpathos and the village of Diafani during the summer holiday season.
Yes. Complimentary round-trip transfers are included for guests staying in the Pigadia and Ammoopi areas. If your hotel, apartment, villa, or holiday rental is located within these areas, transportation to and from the departure point at the Port of Pigadia is included in the tour price. Guests staying outside the areas of Pigadia and Ammoopi will need to arrange their own transportation to the Port of Pigadia. If you prefer not to use the included transfer service, you may meet the group directly at the Port of Pigadia no later than 09:15 AM for check-in and boarding. The boat departs promptly at 09:30 AM.
No they are not, however a traditional BBQ lunch is available for €15.00 and can be pre-purchased during booking (under “More Options”). Includes chicken souvlaki or beefteki, Greek salad, tzatziki, and bread. You may request a vegetarian alternative during serving if you prefer. * A small snack bar is available in the boat for light snacks and refreshments for purchase during the boat ride towards the beaches and back to Pigadia.
