Set sail from Pigadia Harbor (Karpathos Harbor) and cruise along the breathtaking eastern coast to the wild, uninhabited island of Saria, just north of Karpathos. Once home to ancient settlements and seafaring pirates, Saria is now uninhabited—an untouched paradise filled with natural beauty, historic ruins, and Aegean charm.
Along the way, pass by the picturesque harbor village of Diafani before arriving at Palatia, a sheltered natural harbor and one of the island’s most beautiful beaches. From here, take a short scenic hike to the hilltop church of St. Zacharias, where panoramic views of the Aegean Sea and surrounding cliffs await.
After your hike, cool off with a swim in the crystal-clear waters, explore sea caves, or wander the stone-built pirate dwellings that hint at the island’s storied past.
In the late afternoon, relax on your return voyage to Karpathos, taking in the golden coastline as the sun begins to set.
Guests arrive at the harbor, check in with crew, and board the boat.
Enjoy a scenic cruise along the eastern coastline of Karpathos, passing Diafani and admiring sea views, cliffs, and the Aegean landscape.
Dock at the natural harbor of Palatia, one of the island’s most beautiful beaches.
An optional short self-paced hike to the hilltop church with panoramic views.
Enjoy the clear turquoise waters, explore nearby sea caves, or simply relax on the beach.
Traditional Greek lunch served on the beach, including chicken souvlaki or beefteki with sides.Â
Wander the remnants of ancient and pirate-era buildings near the harbor area.
Guests return to the boat and prepare for the return trip.
Enjoy a relaxing ride back with views of the coast in the soft light of late afternoon.

This tour is available for booking on Friday each week between May 1st 2025 and October 15th 2025. Please book your tour at least 24 hours prior to the tour's start date and time.Â
The boat departs from Pigadia Harbor, also referred to as Karpathos Harbor.
No, transportation to and from Pigadia Harbor is not included. Guests must arrange their own transport to the departure point.
The vessel used for this excursion depends on the day of the week you have booked:
Your booking confirmation email will indicate which vessel is scheduled to operate your excursion. Please ensure you board the correct vessel upon arrival at Pigadia Harbor.
In the unlikely event that the scheduled vessel changes due to operational or weather-related reasons, you will be informed in advance by Karpathos Travel.
The tour lasts approximately 9 to 10 hours, from 08:15 AM to around 6:00 PM.
You should bring:
Walking shoes
Swimwear and towel
Water shoes
Snorkel and mask
Sunscreen and a hat
Snacks and drinking water, as opportunities to purchase supplies are extremely limited during the tour
Cash and any other essentials for a day out in the sun
The hike to the Church of St. Zacharias is short and moderate, suitable for most guests in good health.
No the are not, however a traditional BBQ lunch is available for €15.00 and can be purchased on the beach.Â

Tickets are sent via email after your order is processed. Please check your inbox (and spam folder) for confirmation. You must present your booking confirmation along with valid identification for all participants prior to boarding the boat.
You may cancel your booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled departure for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance are non-refundable.
